Lynette Clark Davis founded L. C. Davis Law, LLC to fight for the rights of children. She has over 15
years of broad-based legal experience that has primarily focused on using the legal system to provide a better life for the children interests that she represents. Lynette previously served as an Assistant District Attorney for the UIFSA
Division of the DeKalb County District Attorney’s office. In that position she was responsible for prosecuting individuals who failed to pay child support in interstate cases. Prior to the
District Attorney’s Office, Lynette served as the Legal Services Officer (now called Associate General Counsel) for the Department of Human Resources, Division of Child Support Services. She was responsible for providing legal
guidance and assistance in policy and procedure development. She also serves as the liaison for litigation
support between OCSS and the State Attorney General’s Office. Lynette also served on the Legal Service Team for the Division of Family and Children Services where she was the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Coordinator for the Division. Lynette's professional
background also includes private practice and public legal administration roles in juvenile, domestic relations, criminal and probate law. The experience encompasses client
representation as well as prosecutor and judge assignments. In 2011, Lynette was appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General by the Attorney General of the State of Georgia and in that capacity represented the Department of Human Services, Division of Child Support Services (DCSS). In the course of representing DCSS, she has assisted in developing the program to prosecute individuals who willfully refuse to financially support their children. By working closely with DCSS leadership, Lynette's firm has worked hard to increase child support collection numbers to provide for the financial needs of the minor children Fulton County, Georgia. Lynette graduated from Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communication and Theatre and her Juris Doctorate from graduate of Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas Southern University. Ms. Davis is a past president of the Clayton County Bar Association, former co-coordinator of the State Bar of Georgia High School Mock Trial Competition – Southern Crescent Region and a member of the DeKalb County Bar Association and the State Bar of Georgia Juvenile Law and Family Law Committee. |
